The Piketube is easy to swim slowly. Slow swimming action is called for when the fish aren’t particularly hungry or when the water is cold.
This lure is perfect for shallow pike waters and it can be used throughout the year. The tube fly can be retrieved directly, given some motion with different reeling techniques or jigged with the tip of the rod. The Piketube is used with a steel wire, which allows you to use any kind of hook. When a fish bites, the tube fly slides along the wire so that the fish cannot break the lure.
