The Jasu Kide ice auger with a power drill adapter is the right choice for you if you want to drill holes into ice effortlessly! The Kide ice auger comes with an adapter for a battery-powered drill. Ice augers that can be attached to a power drill are very popular because they allow you to drill holes more easily with less effort. The ice auger can be attached directly onto the chuck of the power drill in seconds. The metallic flange prevents the ice auger from falling through the ice. The ice auger features replaceable blades.
NOTE! Jasu Kide ice augers are only compatible with Jasu Kide Blades! This ice auger does not allow for manual use, so be sure to bring a spare battery on your fishing trips. The ice auger can only be used with a power drill equipped with a side handle to avoid injuries! The drill with a side handle should offer enough torque and a resilient 18V 5.0 Ah Li-ion battery. The spindle connected to the power drill has a 10-mm diameter.
INSTRUCTIONS (Read carefully!):
Make sure that your power drill is equipped with a side handle
Never use the auger without a side handle!
Prevent the power drill from spinning by setting the directional switch to the middle
Open the drill chuck by hand; do not rotate with the switch
Place the auger attachment into the power drill’s chuck.
Always tighten the chuck by hand instead of pressing the switch (causes a hazard when tightening).
Set the power drill to a slow speed (Speed setting 1).
Adjust the torque setting so that the drill’s clutch will disengage if the ice auger gets stuck and thus will not injure your hands.
Always operate the ice auger using two hands. Keep one hand on the side handle at all times and the other on the grip of the power drill. Never use the ice auger with just one hand.
Never hold onto the chuck or any other moving part of the drill or the auger when using the ice auger.
Make sure that loose clothing, ice awl cords, or scarves cannot get wrapped around rotating parts when using the ice auger.
Avoid hitting the flange, as the sharp edges may cause damage if they grab onto clothes.
When you have drilled a hole, always set the directional switch to the middle, thus preventing the drill from spinning.
Drill into the ice to place the ice auger into an upright position next you while ice fishing instead of laying it on the ice. The blades may be hazardous when unprotected.
Always use a blade shield when transporting the ice auger.
Do not use the ice auger while seated or standing on a platform, as this may cause a hazard.
Not suitable for children.
Never attach any additional components to this ice auger.
