The handle of the knife is made of stained birch, which has a relatively rough surface to give you a good and firm grip. The carbon steel blade is easy to hone. Dry the blade after every use and oil it regularly to ensure that your knife will remain in prime condition for years and years. The knife has a leather sheath with a tightening belt strap.
