The Mora Ice® Nova Black ice auger boasts a host of patented innovations! This model is especially popular among competitive ice fishers!

The blade of the Mora Ice® Nova Black ice auger consists of a durable and lightweight composite crown that the the blade bits can only be attached to in the right position. The blade bits are so-called medium-fast blades and they are designed for Nordic winter conditions where layered ice is common. For competitive ice fishers, we can offer RACE blades that will drill into steel ice even faster. The blade bits are easy and quick to replace even on the ice, which can really save a fishing trip. The shaft of the Mora Ice® Nova Black auger is telescopic to allow the user to adjust its length to suit his or her preferences. The grips on the handle are ergonomically designed and they support the hand from below. The grips are also bearing-mounted, which allows them to spin lightly to make drilling easier.

The spiral of the Mora Ice® Nova Black ice auger is dimensioned so that it easily scoops ice slush out of the hole, which again makes drilling easier. There is also a handy carrying grip on the spiral shaft that makes the auger easy and warm to carry. The spiral, the blade and the shaft are all designed to be compatible with a power tool. The power tool adapter is available as an accessory.
