The Rapala Skitter Pop is a topwater lure equipped with a cupped lip that splashes water around when reeled. Traditionally, topwater lures have been thought of as mainly pike lures, but now it’s time to change that preconception. Use this lure to catch perch during the summer heat or take it with you to the river for trout at any time of the year (depths between 0.5-2 meters)! A useful rule of thumb: use fast reeling motion for warm waters and active fish, and slow reeling motion with pauses for cold waters and passive fish. If the temperature is double digits below zero, use an even slower reeling motion.
