Shimano Antares Baitcasting Reel

Shimano Antares is an amazing modern baitcasting reel manufactured in Shimano’s Japanese factory. The reel is equipped with the latest Magnum Light Spool III, which begins to rotate immediately. This ensures effortless long casting with lightweight lures as well. Silent Tune and S3D eliminate vibrations during the retrieve, thus maximizing performance and comfort in use.

The compact magnesium HAGANE body with asymmetric design is very stiff and sits well in your palm due to the design. Antares also features Micro Module gearings, which ensures silky smooth retrieve.

• Magnum Light Spool III, Ultra Duralumin spool is very light and sturdy
• Micro Module 2 is an improved version of the previous Micro Module technology. The teeth of the main gear have been improved further, which means that the gears remain in constant contact for excellent feel. The sensitivity of the reel is also significantly improved, as the clearance has been reduced to next to nothing
• X-Ship. Shimano’s X-Ship design means that the most critical components are supported from each end and kept precisely in their places. This provides you plenty of power and torque, which will become apparent when you are fighting your record catch
• Super Free System (SF) was designed to reduce spool friction during casting. The SF system features a pinion gear that is supported by a ball bearing, which produces less friction during casting and ensures that the pinion gear and spool shaft are perfectly aligned
• S3D (Shimano Stable Spool Design). A new spool construction that reduces vibrations when casting, thus improving the fishing response even further
• Silent Tune reduces vibration on the reel during reeling
• Hagane magnesium body. The Hagane body ensures reliable operation even under heavy load. Eliminating body flexing in all situations is extremely important for the proper operation of the mechanism and the entire reel.
• The S A-RB bearings are made from stainless steel.. The surface of an A-RB bearing is harder than regular bearings, which allows for lower rolling resistance. This type of bearing is also much more resistant to corrosion than steel bearings. In addition, the S type bearing is sealed to prevent dirt from penetrating it
