The Shimano Curado DC reel combines traditional reliability with the DC casting brake system. Curado is now available in the DC 200 category! The casting brake of Shimano Curado DC is controlled digitally by a microchip. The chip calculates the rolling speed of the spool 1,000 times each second to adjust the casting brake and enable longer and more accurate casting. Of course, the DC casting brake also saves you time and frustration, as it effectively prevents backlashes.
The reel includes four different casting programs:
1. Long Cast setting for lengthy casts.
2. All around for long and accurate casts with less tangles.
3. Fluorocarbon for rigid fluorocarbon lines.
4. Skipping for skipping and other similar techniques.
Shimano Curado DC – cast smarter!
Specifications:
• iDC4 (Digital Control) casting brake system
• HAGANE body The forged Hagane body ensures reliable operation even under significant load. For the proper functioning of the gearing and the entire reel, it is extremely important that the body cannot twist at any time. A forged housing keeps the reel mechanism in the optimal position regardless of the braking pressure. The Hagane technology allows for extremely lightweight housing constructions due to the re-arrangement of the internal crystalline structure of the metal caused by forging.
• The S A-RB bearings are made from stainless steel. The surface of an A-RB bearing is harder than with regular bearings, which allows for lower rolling resistance. This bearing type is also significantly more resilient against corrosion than steel bearings. In addition, the S type bearing is sealed to prevent dirt from penetrating it
• X-Ship. Shimano’s X-Ship design means that the most critical components are supported from each end and kept precisely in their places. This provides you plenty of power and torque, which will become apparent when you are fighting your record catch.
• MicroModule main gear
• S3D sculpted MgL spool
• Cross Carbon Drag system. The Shimano Cross Carbon drag discs ensure smooth operation throughout the range, while also enabling wide range adjustment
• Super Free System (SF) was designed to reduce spool friction during casting. In the SF system, the pinion gear is supported by a ball bearing, which reduces the friction on casting and also ensures that the pinion gear and spool axle are perfectly aligned with each other
