Piglet Shad is not just a more compact version of its larger brethren, but a complete new product. The belly section of the jig is salted which makes it heavier and gives it more balance and stability in retrieve and ensures that it stays the right way up when sinking. The rounded tail provides a nice side-flash to its action. The grooves on the back and belly of the Piglet Shad facilitate rigging and improve catching, particularly when rigged with an offset hook. Recommended offset hook size 3/0. When using a traditional jig head, the suitable sizes include 4/0 or 5/0.
